Through this project, PRG hopes to overcome a major challenge to Christmas Island\u2019s sustainability by improving and increasing the availability of fresh food.<\/p>\n<p>Both Christmas and Cocos Keeling Islands, (Indian Ocean Territories), rely almost entirely on fresh food being flown in from the Australian mainland. The produce is expensive and often of poor quality.
